If you tested the day after your period is late. And since it came back negative, wait about a week and if you dont start then, go ahead and retest. It is always better to test in the morning. ( with the first pee of the day) It always has the most hcg levels. Good luck.

There are test that are very good and can tell within 3 days of a missed period. And Have heard of a brand new one that you can test the day after you missed your period.
I would test 7 to 10 days after your period was due because you levels begin to change more then.

Sure but 1 day late is not considered late by most doctors.
Stress can cause that, ovulating late can cause that...
If you still don't have your period a week later, and you test negative, then call your doctor.

The same thing happened to me. I waited a week and tested when I was 8 days late and it was positive.

if you look closely at the home pregnancy kit box it should tell you that the soonest you can take the test is FIVE days after your missed period... i suggest you wait a little longer before you test... maybe you missed your period due to stress... just wait a week or so .....
