I've recently taken up a career move. The job requires me to move to Noida from Mumbai. I've never been to Noida. can anyone tell me how safe is it for a single girl to stay alone in Noida?

I live alone in Delhi and have found it pretty safe.
Not very sure about Noida but I think you'll be fine if you pick a place in one of the older well settled areas. Alternately you could try living in South Delhi and travelling to Noida for work:-)
Ofcourse like anywhere else some sensible precautions are needed everywhere... idiot and cheapo guys are a world wide phenomenon :-(

Oo boy, Noida huh? Pretty bad. Try getting a PG with other girls. But be careful.
If you have a car, it does make it safer, but Noida or the north for that matter is not cool for single girls. You are better off in Bombay.
Maybe you can negotiate for an apt with a guard. Still, what are you going to do for a social life? I think you are better off in Bombay.

There are a number of single girls in Noida. And since u are moving from Mumbai, I presume that you are going on a substantial rise in pay packet. So look for a decent apartment and if possible use your own car.

Noida is a nice place to live.. not sure how safe it can get..
Alternatively you can also try staying at Mayur Vihar or Sarita Vihar in Delhi which is in touching distance. Once you get more familiar with your office..shift house to Noida.
If you can find apartment flats in Noida...you would be well off.
