Depends, if the lions succeeds in sinking its teeth even once into the gorilla's neck, then the gorilla is done for.
But if the gorilla can bash him up, by throwing him on the ground or stuff, then he might win.
Luck and timing, plus a bit of bodyweight thrown in.

I woulda said the lion for the same reason as the guy who mentioned "pointy things" lol.
But... that was before i saw Kong... Run for your life simba!
EDIT: to all those mentioning intelligence... which is more intelligent, a human, a gorilla, or a lion - without "inbuilt" weapons, which one would almost certainly come off worst in a fight?

This was test in Discovery Channel with a video simulation were hydraulic copies of each animal were done to copy either of the moves to get that data to fill up a program and when they ran the program the gorilla won the battle.

i think the gorilla would win because he is more nimble,and intelligent than the lion,he could pick up boulders and pound that lion.

Why are people asking this kind of barbaric question? If you like blood sports so much, move to Spain where people think it's 'sporting' to torment animals to death - and call themselves civilized while doing it.
