An old wives tale says that when you are visited in your sleep by a deceased loved one, pay very close attention to what they are saying. I have had a few dreams about my grandfather lately. In every dream he tells me to follow my heart and to fulfill my dreams. I'm trying to go to school to be an RN and i think he's trying to lead me in the right direction..lol

Dreaming About A Dead Friend

To see a dead friend in a dream means that you miss them and that you are trying to relive past experiences with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily life, your dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. You probably subconsciously feel like you should be over it by now. Grieving does not have a time line and some people never heal from their wounds, especially in the case of a death of someone you love. Just because it has been a year since your friend dies does not mean you have to be over it. It's a difficult thing to go through.

Same thing with me only it was my aunt. I felt so guilty because I hadn't returned her call 2 weeks before she did it. Pills. Suicide note didn't even mention me so I felt really bad. I still have dreams in which she plays a part and it's indicative of her real personality while she was alive. I have never talked to her about suicide, but I have bawled her out for doing it. I also dream she is still alive. I hate to tell you this, but it's been over ten years now.
But the dreams are not frequent by any means. My subconscious can be a sneaky B**** though. Sounds to me like you loved your friend and you miss him so you think he misses you too. We won't know until we die though. I don't believe in ghosts. Those dreams may be GOOD for you and I promise they will fade with the same old thing-------------TIME!! Good Luck!! @8=)

It's normal for you to dream of your dead friend. This is his way of letting you know he is alright in the after life. It is also his way of helping you heal from your loss. Eventually, the dreams will stop.
My sister died in a plane crash and for months I had recurring dreams of her. The dreams stopped coming when I was able to move on.

I see, this friend of your obviously wants your attention, you did good by asking him what was going on, you have to know and find out what he is trying to say, He can stop if you ask him to, but i think and feel he is seeking out for you, those who commit suicide have trouble to reach the other side, perhaps hes seeking you to console him, when ever you have this dream, welcome him and tell him if there is anything he needs, because he has to cross over, tell him not to be afraid, your his friend, friendship will never end.
Its also possible you are somehow bringing his attention, this is possible on how you reacted upon his death, if you feel depression, sadness anxiety, and so on, he may be feeding off you, or is trying to help you to stop, its hard to figure this one out simply because your dreams aren't in detail.
Don't be afraid of him, but pay good attention to your dream and what happens in real life.

Stressful times, like the death of a loved friend will of course be on your mind, even when you sleep. It's called your subconcious mind and I would think it would be very normal to be dreaming about him. People dream about all sorts of stressful situations that they are experiencing in thier lives...from troubles at a job, to a relationship break up. It's a healing time for you. You wouldn't be expected to get over such a tragic thing quickly.
Bless you

I do thesame thing. My dad died(suicide) a long time ago and I still talk to him in my dreams. At first it was all the time but now it usually when I'm going through a stressful time. Maybe you just really need someone to talk to right now and he's there for you.

ok. I'll be the first to say it. Maybe you need to seek professional help. That out of the way maybe you will get some answers to otherwise help you. I've had dreams of departed loved ones and they were sorrowful but they didn't last long. Sometimes I get one again every once in a while but I look on them as natural.
