I applied and was offered a job 10 years ago. At the time it was for a rural route (in the country), $15-16.00 an hour, but the problem is it was part-time. The best thing to do is to go to the Post Office or call the USPS in your town and apply. It may be hard to get in based on your experience, but if you are a military veteran, you get extra points on the test.
PS Hope you like dogs.

Dude, you really wanna go postal?
I have relatives who worked in the USPS and they didn't really enjoy it. But if it's what you really want to do, call up your local postmaster, I'm sure they can tell you what the salary is and whether they have any openings.
