It may be due to your curious mind that you hunger for logical explanations in every situation. You feel that these is an edge, when you analyse and when you are analytical thinker- which really is.It used to be my habit, but then you will find yourself least appreciative of the small things around you since you already "analyzed'' that they are not worth being grateful for.

But you should also let some things unexplainable,,
There are that when you analyze (over analyze) will actually bring you nowhere but left behind.

Try to keep your mind exercising on other activities like reading comic books (which could actually leave you bored) but then it would help relax your mind. If you are more wealthy, why not take a trip out? It'll help you relax if ever tht habit of yours is becoming very bothering.

i really love '1 me''s answer. i do the exact same thing. i have trouble sleeping even, because my mind never stops going. school, work, friends, parents, ex's, tommorow, next week, month, year. my mind is always wandering. and i think its partially good to look deeply into things, it means we are intelligent and creative. but it can be a major pain in the butt at the same time. we need to learn to slow down because it can be bad for us in the long run. but how do you slow down something you honestly cant help? i imagine its like any other 'problem'. it needs some kind of serious tackling. and im not sure how to do that. in the mean time, im going to go lay in bed for about 4 hours and analyze my day and the question you asked. because id love to know why we do this.

over analysing things can be a method of avoiding painful feelings, by intellectualising them/trying to understand them rather than accepting the reality of the situation, and for some people can become a bad habit that leads them round in circles, but it depends what subjects you are thinking about?

You are probably an intelligent person who seeks to understand life in a world that is mostly populated by people who are content in ignorance and hedonism.

.I would think this would be a problem in relationships, and if so, you problem have a deep seated problem that could be helped by a psychologist or psychiatrist. At least go to some type of councilor.

Because that is who you are and what you are all about. There is nothing wrong in analizing things. You are a wise person.

You should be an inventor or work in a lab. I think you are gifted. I am very serious about this.
