Precious little. The upholstered footstool; and in consort with the British and the French (primarily) the awful mess that the whole Middle East wallows in at the moment. To be fair they inherited
some of it from their predecessors. They institutionalized Greeks, Armenians, Kurds as "dangerous others" removing many in impolite ways. They did manage to beat the Australians and the New Zelanders during the 1st world war, with the help of the English, They also beat the Russians to a standstill with the help of the Russians. They made very nice tents and very flashy weapons. They also slowed down the voracious imperialism of Europe. I'm speaking of the end of empire. They were probably very good at the beginning, It also speaks well of a professional, castrated, meritocracy running things, and leaving the art, poetry, and religious enthusiasms to upper orders.
