Don't worry. I am 18 weeks pregnant. The chances for miscarriage are so greatly decreased after the 1st trimester (when they can detect the fetal heartbeat). You are far enough along... unless you are a "high risk" pregnancy or you've had previous miscarriages in the 2nd trimester, there is NOTHING to worry about! Just keep eating right, exercising, etc. :) Good luck-- what's your due date?

when i was 18 weeks i started getting these feelings that i had to protect the baby at all costs because it was going to be my only baby, that something would go wrong and i could never have another one (during my first pregnancy). Needless to say the thoughts were just hormones and I am fully capable of having another baby. But they did continue through almost the entire pregnancy, but unless you do have complications, you and your baby are just fine!! they are just hormones or whatever causes it. Plus, your past the 3 month timeline for a chance of miscarriage so i'm sure your fine. Congrats!!

omg, when you are pregnant you have all kind of thoughts and sometimes dreams too and it's scary as hell. I had dreams from I lost the baby, to the baby was seriously deformed, to me dying at childbirth, all sorts of them. I think it's hormones but also a lot of the worry that you have for a healthy baby. Just make sure you are doing everything the doctor says and the baby will be okay. But you will probably still be all emotional because your pregnant lol.

Relax, it is normal to worry it gets you ready for all the worrying you'll do once the baby is actually born :) The good news is that you are over 11 weeks and are now a lot less likely to loose the baby. Enjoy your pregnancy, you're coming up on the best part (not too tired anymore, but not too big to move)

Yes, its normal. Having a baby is one of the greatest things that every woman looks forward to. I've been dreaming of having one since I was 9. I love babies. And if you're as excited as I think you are, then its normal to get paranoid about something terrible that will or can happen. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be a great parent. Lucky baby.

Being pregnant twice I can totally understand where you are comming from. I am exactly the same way, I think it is just a regular old pregnancy thing, we stress ourself out worring about what will go wrong. You are not loosing your mind and most pregos go through these feelings at sometime or another.
Congrats and good luck with your new pregnancy.

All is normal in baby land! Congrats you now are a mommy. Your being protective and hormonal.
Write this down in your baby book and all your other feelings as well. Reading them later will bring you back to one of the best times in your life.

That is only the tip of the ice berg. You will still go through all of that stuff where you think you will not be a good mom, you can't take care of it and all sorts of thoughts. That will pass. It is pretty normal.

I went through it with my first one and I am going through it now.

I am now 16 weeks.

Congrats and good luck
