Well maybe if we get a shot at the National Championship next year. It could happen.

Apparently SEC fans cannot read. The quesion was Can life be any sweeter? Yes, maybe if we GET a shot at the National Championship, which means in the future, no whining this year. We will Start at #5 in the BCS and our schedule should be tougher next year because now you ******* cant avoid scheduling us without facing ridicule. That and the money will be better next year for TV play. We have to play those "weak" teams in the WAC because they are in our conference. But you all seem to forget our Victories over Oregon State and Oklahoma State were among the 13 victories. We are also the most consistant, or perhaps dominant, team in the WAC, taking 5 WAC championships in a row. Dont fool yourself, The big schools do not want to play us because they get a shot at the championship every year unless they lose, and they dont want to risk a loss to BSU that will kill their own chances at the National Title. Schedule us to play and we will certainly show up and do our best.

I can't see how anyone can even consider BSU as a national champion. Whine about the SEC if you want, but two-thirds of the teams in the SEC would be undefeated if they played BSU's schedule. I seriously doubt BSU would be undefeated outside their conference, and probably a .500 team in the SEC.

Look at NCAA Baseball. They opened it up so teams that had good seasons like BSU have an opportunity to make the playoffs. But none of them have ever made it far in the playoffs.

Was it BSU's victory of Mexico State, or Nevada that made them a powerhouse? Oh, sorry, I missed those whippins you put on Sacremento State, Hawaii, and Lousianna Tech. I'm sure Utah State and Idaho were tough games too. Wow, close game over those 6-6 Wyoming. If you want to run with the big dogs, get a schedule. One game doesn't make a champion!!

BSU does not get the credit they should. All the SEC fans bring up the Strength of schedule crap as a excuse. They still have too win the games and most of them were blowouts. Wisconsin is another team that gets no credit and in a way the beat Florida with them beating ARK and ARK beating Auburn and Florida lost to Auburn. I know thats alittle crazy but I had to put it in there. I sure wish they would get a playoff system!!! By the way to Bobby what a Intelligent statement by saying Trick plays do not work when you know they are coming. That is why it's a trick play to fool the Defense!!

Going undefeated is meaningless without a tough schedule. Beating OU means you are good, but certainly doesn't make you great. The teams in the championship games are there because they play many tough games...not because they win easy ones. BSU is a very good team, but didn't deserve to play for the title and probably won't without a playoff system.

First of all your schedule wont help and the league you play in hurts your chance i can only remember one team from a mid major ever win the championship and that was BYU wont ever happen again unless they come up with a playoff

Could you imagine the field day the East Coast/Midwest media would have taking shots at a WAC/PAC championship game between BS and USC? They'd be crapping themselves about it :)

Boise state has always been under-rated. I think the money issues will keep them away from a national championship for awhile though....too bad.

Or, more likely than not, this was a fluke. They probably won't be able to field a team with as much unexpected talent as they had this year, and trick plays don't work as well if you know that theyre coming. I guess that they earned their success this year, but I doubt that they will be able to pull of a repeat.
