Is this a joke? Either way, it gave me a laugh. Does the coworker ever comment on passing gas? If so, then that is the time to comment that you wish he or she would leave the work area to pass gas. If he or she never comments on it, then I'd go with the other suggestions of leaving Gax-X on the coworker's desk. If it continues, ask your supervisor if you can be moved to another area due to "personal reasons." If the supervisor insists that you are more specific, then I'd tell the truth. Hopefully, the supervisor will handle the issue with discretion, and not in the way that "Michael Scott" on the TV show, "The Office," would probably handle it! Good luck!

If your co-worker has an illness, he or she may not be able to control passing gas...and that really stinks for you! LOL Seriously, I don't think I would have the courage to speak to my co-worker about that sensitive issue, so I would try to light a scented candle on my desk to mask the smell. Also, maybe you could put a box of gas-x on his/her desk, while he/she is away from the desk. Good luck!

First of all, I would talk to that person politely and mention that you are not comfortable with the smell. If they are upset, and retaliate, I would then go to the supervisor.

If there are others who also feel the same way, have them also voice their opinions to the supervisor.

If this continues, your supervisor can take disciplinary action.

This person seriously needs to take some GasX or something!!

Knowing me, I'm not always that polite about such frustrations. I'd eventually start openly complaining about it to that STANKY co-worker indirectly. Or quit my job if I can't get the boss to move me. I have absolutely NO TOLERANCE FOR NASTY INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT!

Stupid huh?

Does he seriously have a problem, or is he just doing it to be an @ss??? If it's the first, then I'm sorry for you. If it's the second, then start doing it back.

Leave him some Gas-X on his desk without him knowing it was you who left it.

Literally turn to him and tell him to "Put a cork in it" or leave the room when he needs to explode.

Your boss might help. If not get some really strong flowerly spray and spray the person when they do this.
