No doubt about it.... there have been more devastating natural events (earthquakes, etc.) and more wars throughout the world than in any other time in history over the past 100 years. If you want to hear the answers about prophecy from a radio program that is Bible-based, go here and scroll down the page-- there are lots of them:

We are not in the last days due to any religious or philosophical prophecies. But I believe we are in the last days since the lifestyle we currently have will run out soon.

The planet is being polluted at an extremely high rate.
The world's population is running above carrying capacity.
Oil, gas, petrol, (fossil fuel) is depleted at millions of barrels per day, and consumed by daily transportations (Cars, busses, railway, daily flights where thousands of flights depart a day from a single airport) for sometimes unnecessary reasons.
Modern warfare consumes an extremely huge amount resources, and army training/maintenance also exhausts a huge amount of resources during peace times.

Like it or not the way of life which the modern people has been enjoying this past 100 years depends on the consumption of energy made from non-renewable resources, and will be gone. Even the basic process of food production nowadays are non-sustainable. It takes more energy to produce the food in the modern farming methods than the energy the food can provide. All this accompanied by chain restaurants wasting food, children wasting food, and people for whatever reason waste food. My heart is bleeding.

Soon, you will need to find enjoyment in living like prehistoric people (if the earth is not entirely destroyed by pollution and has arrable farmland and green land remaining, and even by then, the population level will not be as nearly full as now, meaning alot of people will actually die probably of famine and disease)

If you belief that we might be in our last days b/c of what is happening in the world, all that I can tell you is live life to the fullest and do what is right. At least when is time for you to go you'll know that you did what you could to help others in need.

be serious. the humanity has had worse times than the current ones. remember WWII where 20 million people and mostly innocent people were slaughtered -- not just killed. remember the 100 yrs. war in Europe. remember the crusaders. remember first WWI and the list goes on and it is endless. humanity has a long history on its atrocity against its own humanity and inhumanity. we just have to keep hoping that it will get better. hope is our only survival. hope it helps you in re-directing your question as you say into more positive outlook.

i have heard about racing with time but now i think we are racing ahead in time reaching the revelation far before God planned it for us,, by the way things r moving.
I agree its hard to do something about it when were crippled, powerful people r too busy filling their pockets while the time they remain in power is running out.
But what u can do is something in your own small way, even if it means to hav a chatwith the lonely ol man out there sitting in the cold and giv him thermals to wear, may b a meal if u hav the time n can afford it.
cheers

Well, then try to cooperate and be part of the solution, not the problem. That way at least you'll have the satisfaction of trying to leave a better place for future generations

The world has always been a mess, we just didn't always have all these wonderful people getting paid big bucks to tell us about it. I am not against news people, but they might earn their keep if they changed something instead of just reporting it.
