When do you have to have the answers? Most people that old are already in bed on the east coast.....lol.
I could ask my mom tomorrow if it would help. She's 96. Her husband (my dad) was in WW2. Heck, she remembers WW1 !
I was born in '50 so I don't qualify.

hmmmm? Cuban missile was not in WWII? Nor was the tv?
And the Korean war is not applicable to WWII?
The people I know would think this is silly, now if you pick the question about WWII they will be happy to answer, but all the other stuff is ridiculous. How could they have heard the A Bomb? They knew when it was dropped but hearing it no. And the people that are elderly and were in the Big one would not have been in school either they would have been in battle or if a woman they would be older and out of school or did not have the luxury of school or food, and wood be working in a factory in place of the men gone away to war? You need to research these questions they are not relative to each other at all. And computers come on?

Good Morning.
There is a place you can visit, and meet many who served in WW2. Go to the nearest Veterans Administration Hospital, and ask for help in talking to Veterans from the WW2 era...If you don't live near enough to a V.A. hospital to visit, you can call the nearest V.A. hospital, who can direct you to clinics and long term care facilities in your area that provide veterans services.
Another resource that IS most likely in your area is actually 2 different organizations, both of which will be more than happy to assist you. The V.F.W., (Veterans of Foreign Wars), and the American Legion posts can be found in your yellow pages, under Fraternal organizations, and a phone call to either will more than likely provide you with ample opportunities to meet those you need to talk to, and they will most likely be grateful for the opportunity to share their experiences with an appreciative audience. Good luck in your paper.

The assignment is about talking to an older person, not copying & pasting off the internet. The teacher probably won't even accept answers from the internet, unless you're planning to lie and say you did it in person. If you truly don't know anyone, call a retirement home. They will be happy to tell you all their stories. Some pretty amazing things happened to them, and they would like younger folks to be able to learn from it.

If you don't receive any answers from seniors posting on this forum, perhaps you could call a home for the elderly in your area. I'm sure the staff could hook you up with residents who can answer your questions. You will also make their day by doing this.

if you want veterans to answer then contact the closest Veterans Hospital. there are nursing homes and retirement communities. might want to also contact the American Legion Post or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
