Are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton hypocrites?

The honorable Reverand's Jackson and Sharpton are the leading advocates of the radical black equality movement. They are known as racists, long-winded, and privately corrupt.

However, it strikes me as funny that the Reverands have placed so much emphasis on both the inequality which slavery brought about and their faith.

You see these two men who greatly dislike the white man and demand reperations for slavery owe their very title of Reverand to their ancestor's masters. The Americas are only christian because of European conquest; and North American blacks because this was the religon of their owners. Otherwise they would either be tribal or have converted to Islam.

Do these facts fundamentally make the "Reverands" hypocrities?

Yes, but lets not stop there. This discussion could go on for days about how hypocritical and racist these two men are. But most everyone knows this, and knows at least some of the reasons why. That's why its best to ignore these race baiters and hope others do the same, in the interest of the betterment of the society as a whole

Why is it that white people only seem to like dead civil rights leaders? You seem to hate any Black person who takes a stand for Black folk.

Personally, I'm thankful for both of them. At least in NYC, the rogue cops (not the good ones) know there's going to be allot of noise made and hell to if they get outta line like in the past.

As for them being christians, I agree with you. They are only believing in their former slave master's deity. They should either be Muslims or atheists.

There are tribes in Africa who are Christians. But Christianity has Pegan DNA. So if you go far back as the Pic tribe in Europe the Christians took much of their rituals from tribes befor Christ. THey pretty much just added a face to their Savior. Most Radical Christians in my opinion are racist pigs.

You should read your history. Slavery was started by BLACKS and ARABS, not white people.

They SOLD them to white people who brought them to America. You will not read this in any textbook because liberals make sure the truth is never known.

Perhaps they ARE hypocrites but... c'mon, they HAVE spoken out and verbalized what many have been yelling for years about inequality. Right or wrong, they have given voice to many who were heretofore ignored.

So, it's bad when Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton use the media to get some attention and they're honesty highly questions... BUT WAIT... what about the slew of TV Evangelists that are still operating and swindling thousands of elderly of their meager Social Security cheques and paltry savings? What about Jerry Falwell, Paul Crouch, Billy James Hargis, Jimmy Swaggart, Robert Schuller, Jim & Tammy Bakker, Randy White, Oral Roberts, Rex Hubbard, James McDonald, Pat Robertson, Ted Haggard (all involved in corruption) and the slew of TV evangelists that have made millions off of the gullible elderly and poor elderly widows and elderly people in nursing homes that must scrape together pennies and nickles to send to these pseudo messiahs so they can live shamelessly in obscene oppulance and indecent splendor? I don't see them giving up the hundreds of millions they swindled from gullible elderly and poor people... do you?

Yeah, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are hypocrites, like any and all typical politicians but they don't come close to those shameless TV Evangelists who are anti-women's rights, anti-gay rights... and have been exposed for having a couple of prostitutes on salary (for their personal pleasures) or have a few homosexual lovers on the side and on their payroll, or molesting minors and using illegal drugs while they use all sorts of tax deductions to cheat the American public and preach about "family values," the same family values they don't seem to have much of!

Reparations... aw, c'mon, f'girabourit... that ain't ever happening, and anyone who thinks otherwise must be looking for pregnant birds in the sky!

OK, you say that they're racists... are there NOT White racists in this country? I, personally, don't think that they're racist as much as they are opportunistic egomaniacs and are using their own people to "get over" and spend some time in the spotlight, like the pseudo-politicians they play themselves out to be; who in hell ever elected them to be representatives of Black people? Certainly NOT Black people!

But, given their experiences and the times they grew up in with all the racisms directed at them... I think they're catering to desires of frustrated retaliation and I can't blame them on that score, whether it's right or not; it's a reaction to a situation that I have only had very mild experiences by comparison but nothing as what Blacks experienced personally for many, many decades where they were not allowed to drink from the same water fountains, use the same bathrooms, or hotels/motels, eat at the same diners or restaurants or enter certain businesses, were routinely denied employment, equal educational opportunities, the right to vote, or rent an apartment or buy a home in certain areas, or even sit in a bus regardless how elderly they were if a young and healthy White passenger boarded... or how about the many, many decades of injustice in the judicial system (Scottsboro Boys) where they never stood a chance of a just trial with only White jurors while Blacks could not serve as jurors...?

How about the White racist groups like the KKK, the Arian Nation, Neo-Nazis and other White Supremist hate groups and the lynchings of yesteryears that went uninvestigated, and unpunished for many, many decades? Whoa... let me not get carried away here!

QUESTION: why do you single out Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton while neglecting the hoarde of Televangelists who JUST happen to be White? Just a curious question on my part...!

Here in NYC, cops have a habit of being very rude and aggressive and disrespectful, they like to push people around in poor neighborhoods but act VERY differently in White neighborhoods... they're quick to pull a gun on a disarmed man in predominantly Black or Latino neighborhoods... look at the few shooting deaths of Black/Latino civilians that were unarmed and not involved in any criminal activity at the hands of trigger-happy police officers... WHO but Mr. Shapton spoke out? Certainly not one of the White television evangelists... certainly not any White politician UNTIL Mr. Sharpton first spoke out... who else is there to champion the cause of Blacks and Latinos? THAT bothers you??? Years ago, the "Blue Wall" would have covered up the truth but now it's a different matter... and THAT bothers you?

Hey, I trained 7 kids that are nearing retirement age from the NYPD, my son-in-law is a police officer, my best friend's first son-in-law is a police officer, my brother-in-law is a retired Assistant Warden, my best friend's older brother is a retired supervising Corrections Officer and I have a few other friends in the police force; you'd be surprised at the stories I've heard! I am not anti-cop but I AM anti-corruption! Does THAT bother you?
