Please try and give objective advise and opinions. I am gay. I have a best friend for the past 8 years. We share a bed (as friends). This friend likes kissing me, and I don't mean a peck on the cheek. He also likes holding me. While kissing and hugging he gets a huge erection. However, he keeps on telling me that he is straight and wouldn't like to have a sexual relationship with men. He hopes to find a girlfriend someday, get married and have a family. What is going on in his mind? Will a straight guy get aroused in this situation? He also says he kisses me and holds me because he knows I like it, and I am so important to him and in his life that he wants me to be happy.

Yes we do often have oral sex and even sometimes intercourse. He still tells me he does this only because he knows I like it. He really doesn't like it.

This guy is in the closet and is afraid of having a relationship with a man. He probably thinks that gay men can't commit and just have sex. You should show him a book or movie about two gay men who have had a long-term relationship and have kids and stuff, and shows that gay couples can be as normal as straight couples.

Another possibility is that he's bisexual and that he wants to have a wife and a guy on the side and thinks that any woman would frown upon that.

At any rate he is definitely uncomfortable with his sexuality and he needs to let go of his phobias.

I may be bluntly honest with you, offended by it, I apologise.

Best friend for 8 years and how long have you shared your bed with him? All during that 8 years sharing your bed with him and NO sex involved? Or gone beyong kissing, fondling? Oral sex since he has a huge erection? And you? Any erection that turn him on too?

He is not straight and wouldnt or will not admit he is gay. Otherwise, he'll found a girlfriend already. Unless he is taking you as his girlfriend.

Now, ask yourself this:
Does he likes you kissing him, fondling him, holding him and beyond that? You are important to him and wants you happy. Then darling he wants you to be his boyfriend. Or girlfriend.

Sharing 1 bed is taking the relationship further. You are his. And he is yours. Both of you may be afraid to take it up - having sex to consummate your relationship more and sealing it as steadies.

he might be bisexual.. if he's hugging and kissing you like that and getting erections, then he's obviously into you and attracted to you.

do you know if he does this with any other guys? or just you?

sounds like a lot more than an "experimenting" or "curious" phase..

if he likes girls too and wants to have a family with a girl, then sounds like he is bisexual..

he can stil be bisexual even if his attraction to men is only physical/sexual (and not romantic or relationship-wise)
