I am 16 years old and I graduated 2 years early from high school by passing the CHSPE (equal to high school diploma). I am currently attending a community college and i will have completed 72 Semester units, 65 are transferable to a UC by Spring of 2008. My current GPA is 4.00 - 3 consecutive semesters, I have extra extracurriculars such as MESA (Math and Science Honors Society) many hours volunteering at hospitals and tutoring at the math study center at my college. Additionally, I will take the SAT in May. Hopefully I will do good, my goal is 2200 or higher.

That is my information and i jut need advice if I have a chance of being accepted into Stanford as a 3rd yaer transfer student (junior). Also i am on financial aid...

Thanks in advance...

I am also in the Honors transfer program which guarntees admission to most UC's: UCLA,UCI,UCSD,...etc

I was thinking about doing an internship over the summer-would this help. I also work for my family's company as a part time employee.

As far as other extracurriculars, I am in Alpha Gamma Sigma, another honors society at my community college.

And just for people's information, No, I am not missing out on my youth. My schedule is so flexible in college, I now have even more time to hangout with friends and do what we sixteen year olds do.lol

oh wow that is sad. You missed out on your high school years. The prestige of graduating 2 years early from high school can't compare to missing out on prom, football games, and all the drama that is high school. I hope you go out and have fun with people your age.

If you end up going to Stanford, please live in a dorm.

The schols at the very top do not accept many transfer students (Harvard only took 75 last year -- double the usual number). When they do accept them -- they rarely take transfers from community colleges.

However -- you have a very intersting story for them. I think you have a shot (if you can actually get those SAT scores). You will need to write a killer essay & if there is an interview, be well prepared.

Good luck

If it doesn't work out -- Berkeley is a pretty good alternative.

Sounds like you have good credentials. You may not be able to transfer into 3rd year though. I would ask this question directly to someone at Stanford. They must have an admissions office who can help you out.

Students who want to transfer to Stanford are expected to show both within and without the University: GPA, get involve in community, voluntarying, etc....

Community College is a problem.
Also, they will want to know your high school GPA.
