I have had three people in my family that have had this done and two of them in just the past few months. I can tell you it's safe and if you got insurance that will cover it then go for it. There is no pain and all you have to do is make sure you use your eye drops like the doctors says to. Good luck and go for it..

my mom had the procedure done 2 years ago and it still work very well.. i am getting my eyes done soon also, cant stand wearing contacts any longer. If you do good research on picking out a good doctor then you shoudnt worry. You see right away after it is done. Procedure should only take a couple minutes (my mom's was 50 seconds per eye) and according to her it didnt hurt at all. But if you're not sure then wearing contact is fine as long as ur happy with it. good luck with the decision.

I literally have been wearing glasses since I am 14mos old, had to go to another state to get them. I would LOVE to never need glasses, but I too am afraid of the procedure. One of the reasons I am leary about it, is it is all well and good that so many people have had wonderful results with it, however!!!!.....this is not an old thing...it is relatively new, so there is no long term study on it as to what happens many years down the road.....that would prevent me from doing it. But it is a personal choice...If I was going to, I would research the doctor to a T......how many times have they done it, and if any negative results at all.....

I would research this if you are scared. The procedures is done so much now that I don't think you have to worry about them messing up or you going blind.

Lasik and Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

They won't mess up! Don't worry. It doesn't even hurt. I had it done in about 7 years ago and it's been life-changing! Forget contacts and get your sight back. Go for it.
