I have a Pentium4-2.4Ghz, 512 RAM, 128mb video, using Windows XP Pro SP2. I always liked the Apple design, and the fact that it's not Windows. But the thing is: i play online games as Counter-Strike... I've heard that now you can simply install Windows XP into a Mac. In my case, a Mac notebook. Would it work good with games, running inside Win XP, on the Mac? People in Brazil don't really use macs...I only see a lot of iPods...Hehe...
Well...That's basically my question.
I'd also like to use programs in OSX such as MSN Messenger, is it possible? Or with all I want should I just stick to Microsoft and a normal PC?
Thanks a lot. =]

Hello Victor F,

Yes, get a newer Intel-based Mac and you can download Bootcamp from the Apple web site (and then later, Windows):

You can also enjoy many Mac versions of those Windows programs. However, instead of downloading the MSN IM program, why don't you download Adium for the Mac instead. It works a lot better than MSN, and you can simultaneously get access to AIM, Yahoo! IM and countless other IM servers.

Once you start using OS X, you will soon wonder why you wasted so much of your time with Windows. Best of luck to you.

I have an iMac with WinXP installed to mostly play games. It does a great job at it. I play Call of Duty 2, WOW (in MacOS), Need for Speed Carbon, and a few others. I can play them will the settings up high and no lag at all.

You might want to get a Macbook pro is you want to play games since it has the better video card.
Also, MSN messenger has a Mac version it doesn't have as many features but it works okay.

Get a Mac. They have really good video cards and then you can install WinXP on them so you have no compatibility problems. It would work perfectly.
