eye lashes???

Question

my eye lashes are really short and i don't have any double eyelids. how to make your eye lashes GROW longer and thicker instead of just making them looks longer by using makeups?

p/s: preferably without using any commercial products but if you do recommend a particular product pls state the product name & brand.

I don't think it's really possible to make your eyelashes grow longer or thicker. Have you ever tried false lashes? There are some really good ones out there now. Just about every celebrity on the red carpet uses them. Try La Dolce Vita Lashes by Vincent Longo. The non-latex glue goes on bright blue (so you can see where you're placing them) then dries to a clear finish. You can buy them online at Sephora. For even fuller lashes, go over it with a coat of black mascara. Good luck!

Please dear God don't use Vaseline on any part of your body. This particular product is not soluble by the body, meaning, the body cannot break it down. Result? Vaseline just sitting underneath the skin.... ew? lol.

There's really no way to actually make them GROW longer. The only way to get longer lashes is to a: use mascara (MAC Cosmetics has a great line and variety of mascaras. I like the X mascara for two reasons. 1- it's very soft and natural looking. 2-it conditions the lashes and can improve the apprearance of your natural lashes!) or b: to get false lashes, and again I'm recommending MAC Cosmetics lashes. Either the #7's, which look a little dramatic in the packaging, but if you get the artist to show you how to properly apply them, you will be getting compliments on your lashes before you can even get "Thanks" out!, or the #20's which are called Demi-lashes. These fit on the outer half or outer corner of the eye and are so natural looking that these lashes can barely stay in stock!

So, don't use Vaseline. Don't spend the money on "MIRACULOUS LASHES IN JUST 7 DAYS" because you WILL get your money back, and let me tell you, it is NOT hassle-free! Don't buy anything over-the-counter as these products are all going to leave you with a bad taste in your mouth because it's not the quality you're going for.

So, I know it's not THE answer you were looking for, but I'm guessing, just from experience and professional knowledge on the subject, it's going to be the best answer.

Try to find a MAC Counter around you. Go by and explain your situation to them. They're so friendly and so helpful, you'll feel like a million bucks just walking in! Or you can call and make an appointment with them to have them show you a few things to help your lashes look longer! Either way, you'll get a nice day out of it!

You can't grow your eyelashes so don't bother spending your money on any products that say they will. The best thing to do is to find a lash lengthening/volumizing mascara. The purpose of mascara is to make lashes appear fuller and longer. Also, try curling your lashes with a eyelash curler. And if you want your lashes to appear fuller try lining your eyelid along the lash line (this may also help them look longer). If all else fails use false lashes, they are fun, fun, fun!!! I agree that going to a salon or esthetician to have fake lashes glued in is great! I hate wearing mascara so if having fake lashes glued in doesnt work for you - try having them tinted. Believe it or not you may have short lashes but they could be very thick and having them tinted gives the appearence of being longer.

go to beauty salon and pay for beautician to put individual fake lashes glued.... it looks real and lasts for a week or two depending on how you wash your face.
