I say absolutely go for it dude. I started uni last year at the age of 27 and it is the best decision I have ever made. It feels so good to get those cogs turning in your head again. I had a bad time at high school and always had dreams I was back there and regretted not finishing until I started my formal tertiary education. It feels so good. The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know. It has been hard work as I work full time but it has paid off. I feel so much better about myself and I know that I am working towards something good. I was so worried about failing and not being able to handle many aspects of re-joining student life but I found it a breeze. You can have a giggle at these kids and their conversations and it makes you feel good that you are past all of that pettiness and insecurity. Mature students generally do much better as they have life experience and are more determined to work at it for their own betterment. Good luck to you, I really hope you go for it. Your family will be so proud and I guarantee that you will get a lot out of it if you follow what you are interested in.

It's never too late. I've been looking at this very issue the past few years (even started a Master's part time).

If you are motivated it can work. The rest of your life needs to be relatively settled and your family will need to be supportive. If you are quitting a job to go back to school, hopefully your spouse works. The opportunity cost of full time school is very high if you take the lost wages into account and the fact you will be spending money in school.

If you are lacking in some courses most colleges offer basic math/english skills course you can use to bone up before heading back to the classroom.

Life is short, if you are motivated to go back to school you will find a way to make it work.

Please do you know how many 35 year olds with a family are in school? Many!!! Go back if thats what you want to do. If you have to work and go to school, try online classes. I take classes at Franklin University www.franklin.edu online and they are great. Not easy, but convienient. The set up is easy to use and there are many interfaces that make it a very much like a physical class room evironment. Team assignments, chat sessions, audiobridges, FranklinLive, etc. You should look into it.

It's never too late. School will keep your mind young. And yes you can and will handle it but don't forget your family.

I think it's never too late, but you have to take into consideration the effect it ill have on you family and how it will affect you. I say go for it, but, don't do it at the cost of your family, unless that's what you're going for.
