I really...REALLY..do not get it...
I also really do not get PAYING for it through a greek system.

Hazing is something that actually builds your relationships with everyone in your rush class. It is beneficial because you are all going through all of these horrible things together, and it builds camaeraderie.
Think about soldiers in war and how they become a "band of brothers". Same concept.

I don't get it either. My guess is that it's still accepted as a "tradition"- I don't understand "PAYING" for it the Greek way?
