Yep we all have days like that.
Hang in there.
Maybe being self employed might work for you.
Maybe a job that you don't deal with people so much would be good.
Sometimes we get into jobs and then it's hard to change.
Don't feel stuck but do start to look at other options.
Allow your self to dream a little and think about what you'd like to do.
Why are you here? What are you suppose to be doing???
We are here for the little things. Not every one is here to cure cancer or walk on the moon. Have you ever taken a moment to stop and help a stranger or a friend? Hold a door open to someone with their arms full. Listen to someone who had a bad day. Give a friend some encouragement? It's the little things like being there every day for your family that is the reason you are here. Your not done yet. Maybe the greatest thing you do in your life is done 5 days before your 75th birthday.
Acknowledge the small things of joy in your life. Acknowledge that you do help and encourage people every day. Then you will see more and more in your life the reason you are here. Stop asking and start listening and acknowledging.

Well, you're being pessimistic about yourself and your job. I used to work in the public and many times felt as you do. But then I was asked one day to help this older couple with their car. I noticed from that day on, that I started looking for those that needed help along their journey. Maybe, instead of being frustrated, if you could accept that every person you encounter, has a story. Most, will have an issue that you will never be aware of. Offer your kindness, and any help that you can give. Be optimistic, take your situation and take control of it. Don't let frustration win. You may have another job tomorrow, but do your best right where you're at right now. Good Luck

It is normal to be frustrated at times with so many incompetent jerks around you. The best time to find a job is when you already have one. All these bad moments will pass and better opportunities are ahead of you. If you didn't feel the way you do than probably you would last longer around mediocre people. Prepare yourself with additional skills so that you can find a different job.
The way you feel should be an stimulant to do better.
I understand how you feel because the same thing has happened to me in the past. Now I have a better job and different jerks around me. I am a jerk sometimes as well.
Take care and I hope you feel better now.

Awww, honey... Don't get down on yourself. Frist of all, we are all here on this earth TO LEARN, to grow and evolve into wiser souls. And everything happens exactly as it is supposed to. You were meant to be working in that damn deli right now! Otherwise you wouldn't be there. Every experience we have exists to teach us something about ourselves. SURRENDER to life; hold the attitude in your heart that the right job will appear when it is meant to, and look for a new job with a calm feeling in your heart. It will appear shortly. Everything is unfolding exactly as it was meant to...

Everyone feels like that sometimes. Don't stay in an unhappy job. You will find one you enjoy I bet. Make one (small) goal this week. Try to reach that goal (will keep your mind occupied) and when you do reach it, it will boost your spirits.
Take it one day at a time. Best of luck. We've all been there!

It sounds like you need to start figuring out what you want to do for a new career. You could try going to a local career center and they have people there that can help you figure out what you want to do and what you are good at. There is also a book called "What Color is Your Parachute?" that goes through various activities to help you figure out what career path may be good for you.
