ok so i have a mini iPod and i have iTunes. It has all my songs and all. well my friend has a nano an she wants me to put some of my songs onto her nano. Well when i plug the iPod into the computer and itunes comes up it says "The iPod "Ashleys iPod" is synched with another iTunes library. An iPod can be synched with only one itunes library at a time. what would you like to do?"
do i erase and sync or transfer purchases???
or do i do something else?
please someone help!!!

put it to manual sync.(under ipod options) that way it doesnt erase all her songs and replaces them with yours in your library

As far as I know you can only sync one itunes library per ipod... Its possible to sync two ipods to the same itunes library, I did with my nano and my aunt used the same itunes library for her shuffle... but if you try to sync one ipod with multiple itunes libraries.. it wont work. Because each ipod is only allowed to be synced with one library... either your itunes library, or Ashley's itunes library.. it cant select a few songs from one library and a few from a different... once it starts to sync to one library, it erases everything from the previous library it was synced to.

I'd say to burn a CD and let her borrow it.
Don't erase the sync because she will lose all of her songs and all of your songs will be put on there instead.

I think your only choices are to either erase it and sync it like you said, or do nothing. I would just say ask her what she wants to do.
