There is a trap called the mole buster. It is really the only thing that truly gets rid of moles besides my cats Lucy and Tasha. Most of the year they will leave me "presents" of moles and voles every week if not more. Since I can't rent them out to you the mole buster will have to do. Most other things mentioned are just myths and don't really work. The person who mentioned the food source, grubs, was right on the money. The insecticide called Grub Out contains sevin. An organic alternative is to use nematodes. This is a small and harmless organism that you introduce to your soil in a water solution. Nematodes eat the larva of grubs. Unfortunately that won't stop moles from using the tunnels of other moles to travel through your yard and then forming new ones. Good Luck

Although I haven't tried this yet, I intend to do so:
Find some worms, put them in a bucket. Roll sticks of chewing gum around in the dirt with the worms, but the gum in the holes. Supposedly, the moles can't digest the gum, it blockes up their intestinal tract, and they die.
Instead of using gasoline, my neighbor uses bleach. I've to try that also.
A couple of things NOT to do: spring-loaded moal killers can also break the leg of a cat quite easily if it trips the trap. That's why I don't use one. We have one cat, the neighbors have several.
Those solar powered vibrators that are a bit pricey certainly haven't worked for us. I bought four last year, and I have mole hills a foot tall.
Is it global warming or what? We never had a problem until this last year and I keep hearing other people say the same thing over and over!

Man, we got problems with them dang ole moles down here to. Last year I was working for a lawn care service in Florida and the boss told me to get rid of the moles in a yard we were trimming that day. I was new on the job and I think they were just playing a joke on me. Anyway they all went to lunch and left me there to kill the moles so I poured about six gallons of gas into the tunnels running through the fron lawn and lit it with a lighter. I guess i was luckey that I didnt get killed but the fire department did have to come out cause a fir tree caught on fire and the lady that owned the house thought it was going to catch the house on fire. The whole front lawn was ruined cause lots of it actually exploded and slung dirt and sod all the way across the street. When my boss and crew came back he fired me (ha!ha!) on the spot and told me to hitch hike back home. Serves him right he had to fix the whole yard and pay for the burned tree. I didn't know it but my eyebrows were singed off and the hair on the front of my head was also burned. Some rednecks gave me a ride and laughed so hard at my story that he ran off the road and hit a mailbox. They both punched me out and just left me in the gutter. Dang -- I know it makes a funny story now but sometimes I wonder if anyone else in the world has problems like me.

I've heard the same thing about windmills. Also, you might want to consider getting a trap. You plunge a set of tines over the tunnel and when the pass by they trip it. You never see them since they are still in the ground. Just pick the trap up and set up someplace else.

I've heard if you get rid of grubs in your yard the moles will leave. You can buy a granular that you spread on the yard to kill the grubs. I also heard of using gum. Might sound silly but I was told to put Jucyfruit in the holes.

get a decorative windmill that actually works. The vibration from the windmill turning will drive the moles away. Works for us, and still does. Currently have one in the yard right now, but no more moles. our windmill is six foot tall, metal. relatively inexpensive

They hate the smell of orange peel, so put a few bit down there run.
Cats and moles don't get along, make sure you want a cat before considering getting one just to rid yourself of moles.
When the food source goes, so will they. spread grub insecticide on the lawn to help reduce the grub population.
