I am just curious about something.I am usually a little anxious about doing things ex hurting myself because I worry about physical activity causing my heart to beat too fast. For several months I haven't done anything extremely physical and yesterday i decided to get out in the cold and shovel a little snow. When I came in my muscles that I used were shaking I thought from the cold but you know how it feels when you haven't used certain muscles in awhile and they tremble..It felt that way .I wasn't in any pain and got up this morning and did somethings moving a few things around and had the door open with cold air coming it.All of a sudden I felt my neck get stiff and my muscles ached and arms felt tired and then my legs ached ..If you don't use muscles for awhile is common to have them feel that way after just a little snow shoveling in the cold the next day?Or does the anxiety add to this making them stiffen up to make you feel that way the next day?Even later today still feel that wa

It probably had more to do with lack of use than with anxiety. Try doing a few minutes of exercise each day, and add just a little at a time, and you'll see how quickly you can regain those muscles!

Your body has been inactive for some time, so yes you will ache. If you are not aching only on the left side, and it does not feel like a typical heart attack. I would simply rest and apply ice 20-min to the aching and then heat for 20-min. The FIRST DAY you only apply ice, thereafter you rotate ice & heat. ALSO, take a stemy bath & relax in it for 20 to 30-min, while playing some relaxing music & thinking of something nice. If you have anxiety this will help. ALSO, I am not sure if you meant you have anxiety disprder too honey, but if you do? That can make you feel all sorts of ways, especially like a heart attack. So REST, ICE & HEAT, would be my answer.

You might try to excercise again, but if you do start out slowly and work into a more active workout. This is far easier on your body, but you will hurt the next day. Simply REMEMBER, the aches will work out in time though. My brother & I run 14-mi daily, we too know what you are feeling. :)
