I wish I had a wonderful reply for you. Some wonderfully written prose.....

But I don't. The only thing I can think of is--- When a man grows old, he becomes wiser and more distinguished. No biggy there....

I wanted to respond because it was a good question and I loved some of the replys! I'm thinking that I should peek into the Philosophy Q & A more often.

Thanks.

When a man grows old, his wisdom can be seen as his hair sings the colour of the anceint white snow. As he travels down from the towering mountains to the nomadic village below he talks to the song birds and says "hello,..is'n it good to be alive?!".

the experiences of his life are within every sigh, every smile, every twinkle of his eye. If a man has lived righteously, the joy in his heart can been seen in his sighs, his smiles, and the twinkle of his eye. But if a man has not lived, or lived with regrets the pain of life lost will be seen and heard in every sigh, every smile, and there will be no twinkle in his eye, only a glistening tear where the joy of his life should have been.....

he becomes wiser and less truculent. Much more humorous and easy going.

The subtle erosion of his abilities make him more tolerant of others' inabilities.

A time of gentleness and warmth and caring and love. A good time unless health problems threaten.
