The question is way to vauge. If you build it off a Sporty, for as little as 7-8000. There is a girl bike I built on hotrodhotlinebikes.com that was a little under 30,000 (go to readers rides look at foxy lady) and I've seen a couple of girly show bikes I'd guess were over 50,000. So figure somewhere between 7000-50,000. Keep in mind the cost can really vary by how much chrome and who's parts you use. Also a nice paint job is a couple grand.

Look at Ridley motorcycles. http://www.ridleymotorcycle.com

I would like to suggest an alternate to a custom built chopper. Everyone I know who has one never rides it. They are either afraid to get it dirty or it is not running right.

Just think about this suggestion. Go to every new motorcycle dealer (Honda, Harley, Suzuki). Sit on every bike. Look at every bike in their product line (not everything might be on the showroom). Buy the bike that you are going to be most comfortable riding.

Now, don't change anything mechanical. Have the tank and fenders or plastics custom painted to match your personality. Buy a snazzy new helmet and have painted to match.

expect to spend 13k at a minnimum for a custom or kit bike, more to have someone put it together.
if you are new to bikes it might be a good idea to start with an import for around $3500 before making a major investment of a custom
