Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

I took 2 tests when i found out i was pregnant with my son a full seven days before my period was due and the brands were "Answer" and "Clearblue Easy".
I favored the answer one over the other because it gave a very bold positive line as where the clearblue one was faint.
But just save money and buy a cheap test cause they all work the same -only difference are the prices.

I took 5 different tests and they were all different brands and they all said positive. I was in shock that I got pregnant on the first try so I kept taking tests-lol! I have heard a lot of people like first response but honestly if you have enough hormones in your system they should all be pretty accurate.

Most of them will tell you. In fact I took a very cheap dollar pregnancy test and it showed darker than my ept and first response test (I took three all together). I would say as long as it is not expired all are fine to take.

Go with one of them that specifies "early", I think EPT has an early one. The ones that say you can test even before your missed period are more sensitive and can detect a smaller amount of the pregnancy hormone in your urine than the regular ones can.

hi-I took the cheap dollar tree test, it is made by one of the same companies who make the name brand test--either first response or ept.
I was 5 days late when I took it & my + result showed up immediately and very dark.
the next day I took the digital pregnant, not pregnant test & that one actually took a little longer for the pregnant result to show up.

Think they are all much the same. They all test for the same hormone. I used an expensive one and a cheap one, Both said positive.
Good Luck

I think the digital ones are the best... I got a negative with EPT, and I was pregnant, and over a week late.....
