have you tried restarting the computer? if you hit ctrl+alt+del the task manager should open, go to "shutdown - restart", or a different screen that has shutdown on it. Or you could hit ctrl+alt+del and get to the task manager, go to "file -new task(run)" and in the open dialog box type in "explorer" without quotes and hit enter, if explorer crashes and didn't reopen itself you can try to manually restart it like that. If it just opens a my computer window then your only option is to restart the computer, if that doesn't work you probably have to repair the windows to fix it.

umm if you cant see your icons either then do a control alt delete and go to new task and type explorer if that doesnt work again control alt delete go to procceses and end task on explorer the reapeat the steps first mentioned still no start bar then go near the bottom of the screen and try to get a double arow and drag it back up if you minimise something you can do an alt tab to switch between your current tasks hope it works also try the looking for your start bar at all the diferent sides of the screen geting real close to the edge looking for double arows then drag it back all else fails do a system restore %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe if that doesnt bring up the system restore then run explorer or use the command line to browse to the system32\restore and run the rstrui.exe

You may have minimized the bar so it is a thin line at the bottom of the screen... move the screen position around and check each edge of the screen to see if you've accidentally moved and.or minimized it.

I did this once... but if that is not it, I'm at a loss..

ok.

move your mouse to the bottom of your screen as far as it will let you, then hold your click button down, then move your mouse up.

if thats caused the problem it should solve it, if it dosnt work, click the windows button on you keyboard, its the one in the middle of CTRL AND ALT At The Bottom Of Your Keyboard, then do a system restore to yesterday.

hit the windowsbutton on your key board, or move your arrow to the taskbar and see if it has a stretch icon, if so drag it upwards so you can see it again. Hope this helps
