I disagree with your assertion that the idea of the United Nations is a single world government. It is chartered to be an organization of sovereign countries.
I think the United Nations is the best thing the world has going for peace because it is a place (supposedly) where diplomacy is the first rule of international politics.
Is it the answer to the world's problems? That's a tough row to hoe. I'd have to say no. But still, the best we have and not a bad start.
I'd also have to add that I don't believe the biggest problems in the world are military or have military solutions.

The United Nations is ofcourse a nation that handles national affairs. But let me tell you this, there will be no peace if Capitalism exists. SO, do you know what the U.N does? It fights off any Revolutionary groups that actually want for the better of people, unfortunately they are labeled as terorists. I beleive a one Gov world can exist.
But the one you are talking about is wrong, people will not give themselves to slavery, they will fight for their rights, self-esteem, pride, family, and home. Imagine having your mom raped, your son killed, and being poor? Then sold to slavery? I personally will fight back, but if i do I will be called a TERORORIST.
The U.N really does not help alot, they say they do by having invading Iraq and overthrowing sadamm, well he deserved it, but it was our fault for putting agents in USA and having sadamm kill every suspect. ANd for us even putting him into power. If we really cared, the U.N will go to Darfur, guess what? We can't invade becasuse the president wont let us in, we invaded Iraq a STRONGER nation even when sadam wanted us out. And now we are fighting the defenders of Iraq aka terorists, we are taking their oil. Wow the U.N is helping the World.

No the United Nations is NOT the answer to the worlds problems. There will never be peace. The scenario you have described is NOT worth protecting myself or my children. That would be no life at all.

because all help workers are liberal? are not maximum church communities considered help workers at the same time as they flow over and help out in different international places? those human beings are a collection of undesirable apples. you won't be able to outline the total in accordance with some undesirable factors. there are infinite different solid volunteers who do tremendous humanitarian paintings in different international places. the human beings who attempt this variety of issues are dispicable and must be punished! i'm liberal and basically as mad as you're, yet you want in charge the right human beings.

no, the UN is not the answer. they're too corrupt.
i'd rather die than be a slave to an elitist. "Give me liberty or give me death!"
and speaking of my children, i do not want them in any situation like that. however, some things are worth fighting for, and dying for. i would be remiss as a parent if i did not teach that lesson to my children.

lol cute. First off the united nations does not create a one government world. It allows for the possibility of collective security to happen. There are number of strategies for "peace," your example is a hegemonic dictator, but woodrow wilson describes a peace that flourishes through collective security. Read a little more political theory before posting rhetorical questions.

Absolutely not. Accepting slavery isn't helping your children at all. The UN is OK as long as it's weak. So long as they can only suggest things, then it is fine. But I must say no thanks on that kind of socialism. Look in your trousers and find your sack. (your metaphorical one if you're a girl) Accepting slavery? Despicable.
