I was told people with green eyes should wear purple eye shadow. I have green eyes and can tell a huge difference when I use my purple eyeliner versus any other color. I guess it has to do with them being secondary colors and both on the cool side off the color wheel... they compliment eachother.

I also have green eyes and blonde hair and usually I use a gold cream shadow and occasionally add some 'army green' shadow to the outer edges and blend them together.

If anything, I would go with the earthy tones, example, light browns, nude, just more of a natural color. But if you want color, a little bit of purple wouldn't hurt.
