This guy asked me to a dance. I'm 17, he's 16, we're in the same grade and school. We talk some, and e-mail a lot. And, I e-d him that he could back out if he wanted and he said that's not an option. Then, I asked him why and he came up with several reasons. But, last week, i found out i couldn't go cuz i have to take the ACT the next day. He said it was ok, but now he's acting kinda strange around me. y?

Because you said yes and then no. He probably wanted to go out with you. If the ACT is in your town, why couldn't you get enough sleep to take it the next morning?

He probably feels like you made up an excuse not to go with him. Maybe suggest doing something else the following weekend?
