How do you know he didn't plant it? Some people just like to go round stirring the pot, you know? Then stand back and watch the storm.

Another thought, isn't your mechanic who last drove the car? Like if he's going to cheat on his own wife, would he use his own car or a car readily available that belongs to someone else?

I would think that the mechanic is trying to start trouble, why would he report this to you, and the car may have been driven several times since it was dropped there. Could have been from many different thing's most of which are not me and your wife. Teenage kids is most likely the answer, but still why would he point out that he found it in the back seat?

my honest opinion would be to ask you to confront your wife directly. do not appear angry or stressed when you ask her, it may put her on the defensive;which you do not want. ask her in a funny/curious way how the condom wrapper got there and wether she knows anything about it. then pay special attention her eyes(looking down,left-right-signs of lies). if she is not lying , she would look straight at you. also place special attention to her hands and other parts of the body. any unwanted and unusual holding of hands, folding hands across the chest rubbing them is a negitive sign.a lier would also try to do other things while answering to divert attenton from herself, rather than give a direct answer. hope this is a help. take care and keep your fingers crossed; hope for the best

Your kidding right? I mean otherwise why are you wasting our time by asking such an already answered question. I am sure if he found a used condom it wasn't from her trying to make water ballons!! Dude save yourself some time and me my breath by confronting her and get the lies she is going to tell you out of the way unless it really isn't her it might be yours but you were to drunk to remember playing hide and get it in the back of your own car!! Otherwise it was a sign sent to you from GOD for you to open your glued together eyes!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I say more

I would too. Ask your wife. Don't accuse her of anything, just tell her you found one and you wonder how it got there. Of course, she may lie. Or maybe the mechanic took your car for a "test spin". Good luck.

first off, who is the world is your mechanic? my boyfriend runs an auto repair shop, and if he ever found something like that in the car, he would never mention it to a customer...can we say "unprofessional"?
nonetheless, here's an idea...leave the wrapper there... rediscover it with your wife in the car, and see how she reacts...don't blame her initially of course...say something crazy, like you think the mechanic had sex in your car...but just watch her reaction...

or, just ask her about it....do you have any reason to believe she would be cheating?

I recommend conducting an investigation, before you talk to the wife. If you have any teenagers, then assume its them. If not don't go directly to your wife. Women are far more better at lying than men, they actually think before opening their mouths. Find out all you can befre confronting her, this will allow you to catch her in lie. Good Luck!!!

Please be careful not to jump to conclusions,Tell your wife what the mechanic found.. If she denies knowing anything about the wrapper, and you have hadno reason not to trust her before, count it as mabey someone putting it there for some idiotic practical joke..

Whoa.Anyone else have access to the car like,,do you have a teenage son or daughter who borrow the car? I dont mean any disrespect if you do have children. If you dont,,Id certainly raise an eyebrow at the wife.

Uh-oh. Okay first, if it's a nice car, maybe one of the grease monkeys at the repair station 'borrowed' it to take their girly out on a bit of fun. Or, maybe if you have older kids, they are the culprits. And finally, maybe the wifey had a 'nooner' in the parking lot at her work with somone.
Let's just hope it's all a simple misunderstanding.
