um....a limit doesnt aprroach anything
and you need 2 variables

for example

y = 1/(2x - 3)
As y approaches infinity
2x -3 must be in finitely small
So x = infinity

As x approaches infinity
y approaches 0

lol dunno if this helps, im drunk

lim 2x + 5
x->3

= 2 lim x + lim 5
x->3 x->3

= 2(3) + 5

= 6 + 5

= 11

First, get it in y = form
2x+ 5 = 11
y = 2x - 6

now

lim(x->3) 2x-6
plug in 3 into the equation

2(3)-6
Therefore, the limit is 0

This is an equation, not a function, so the concept of a limit does not apply. And a limit does not approach anything.
