the word misguided comes to mind.. The only ones he has done any good are the big corporations and those who are "not so poor".. Thank GOD he can't be elected again.. The sad thing is this: this country will NEVER recover from the damage he's done in office

Bush is the representative of the conservative religious right that started to take a strong foothold in the US near the end of the Clinton administration. Bush, although not terribly intelligent, is charismatic, but not enough so to gather the support that he needs. He's a very polarizing figure in the sense that people either strongly like him or strongly dislike him. There's no middle ground. However, his Iraq invasion and policies and all the genuine truths that came to light after the American people realized that they were misled has been his undoing. So much so that even members of his own party have distanced themselves from him, not to mention that the members of his original cabinet resigned because they disagreed with what he was doing and wanted no part of it. Bush's current approval ratings, as of yesterday, were 28%. That is the lowest approval rating that any president has ever had.

So when you ask about people supporting Bush; it's not many that still do. They have seen him for what he is and what he has done.

Because outside of Ronald Reagan he is the greatest leader of our era. Leadership and popularity are two different things and he is a remarkable leader. In spite of all the naysayers. he leads through his beliefs and not which way the wind blows.
