Because they agree with him. It's actually that simple.

Hey, I know this may not make it to a best answer, but I wanted to respond to your question. People support Bush because they either like him, think he is doing a good job, or are in his republican party. People support Bush because there is nothing they can do about him.
My view is this: People support Bush because they have no choice and as warrioristic as he may be; he is still leader of US.

Duh! He is the president, we support the president not necessarily the man. I am opposed to the plan for Iraq. We should have, and still should, surround the oil fields, pump out the oil and then move to Iran. By the time we get to Syria the Middle East will be breaking their necks to appease us so we don't take their oil and the terrorist will be hung by their own governments. It's all about the money and all government officials are in the pocket of big business. If you think things would be any different if Gore would have become president you are mistaken. We might not be in Iraq but you can bet we would still be protecting big oils interest.

Wake up, do some studying on American Politics and then maybe you can converse intelligently. Beating up the President will only make all true patriots defend his position more vigorously because he is the President of the United States.

Just like I never understood why anyone would support either of the Clintons - lie out of both sides of their mouths!

Neither party is without fault - to blame a single person is totally incorrect, when the people that we voted into office are the ones make the actual decision, he just puts in the final yeah or nay.

Both parties could use alot of work - especially when it comes to listening to the people.
Many of these long time politicians act like they are out for the concerns of the people, while providing no health care, real pay increases across the board, etc for us but making sure they all have a hefty pention plan - and guess what Bush did not make that decision either ...... better start listening to the whispers instead of trying to verbally kill off the messenger.

Give credit where the real credit is due - to those who long time botched the system well before he became president.

IF gonna spout truth - know what it is first?!

Its only about 30% of the population which means 70% of the population doesn't. You have to figure there's a certain percentage there that are career military people who figure they have to support him. Then there are the die-hard Republicans who would support him no matter what he does or how many deaths he's responsible for. There are also the rednecks in the trailer parks who are sitting at home swilling down their beer and saying intelligent things like "yep, that George Boy, he shore has got a good haid on his shoulders" every time he speaks.

No matter how unpopular a president may be, there will be a certain percentage who support him and like him. Even when Nixon was facing impeachment, there were still people who supported him. They just don't understand what's going on and have a grasp of the situation. We should pity them.

Why do you ask illogical questions, such as this, George W. Bush is a good man, and a good president, I wonder if you were one of the 90% of Americans that supported him in October of 2001.

I don't blindly support ANY politician. But I also don't hate any particular politician blindly either, as so many here seem to. As it happens, I did not agree with going into Iraq. Who gives a rats @zz? That means nothing now. We are there. The two choices we have are to turn tail and run home like whipped puppies or finish what we started. And if you lot think your precious majority are going to pull the plug on this war over night, I suggest you better rethink your stance. Your side of the political aisle makes just as much damned blood money as any other. If you don't believe that, then YOU my friends, are in denial.

And this comes to you courtesy of a centrist registered Democrat! Use a little common sense. Christ...you're blinded by your hate for one single man.

First of all I don't agree with every decision he has made. I find many of them totally wrong. Having said that, I agree with his assessment on Iraq. That DEFEAT is not an option. How is "REDEPLOYING" fixing the situation? Colin Powell said it best, You broke it, you own it. Well we removed their government, now it is our duty and responsibility to support their government until the Iraqi's can stand on their own against enemies foreign and domestic. Why is that so hard for you to understand? How can any American say oh well, we screwed up a country lets go home, f*ck them? My father said , "when you are a man you take responsibility for your actions." How is running taking responsibilty?

What should we do? Abandon him. Liberals didn't abandon Clinton. He lied, troops died. He sent men to die to cover up his lies about getting sex.

Come on. The U.S. is attacked. We see ties to Muslim extremists. Saddam rattles his saber and says, "Death to Americans..." He picked the wrong man.

Bush looks over what the U.N. is doing about the treaty. "He hasn't accounted for his WMDs." Do we wait for a sequel to 9/11?

Can you imagine if Bush had waited and Hussein sent those nerve agents or did get enriched uranium and built bombs? Then all the Liberals would have said, "What an ineffective leader he was to not protect us. He didn't do his job and adhere to the warnings!!!"

I for one am glad that Bush "erred" on the side of national safety.

If you Liberals are so hip and want to speak Arabic, Why don't you move over there and submit to their laws and way of life?

I can understand why the rich and the very rich support him, because he is very loyal to them and he loves to line their pockets. I even heard him speak one time about the haves and the have mores being his base, It made me want to puke!!!

As for the rest of them, I don't understand it either. The only thing I can figure is that they must be falling for the mainstream media's propaganda....like sheep!!!!!
