The length of time required for a summons to change into a bench warrant varies from state to state or city to city, depending on the charge. You can call your local municipal court and just ask to speak with someone who can aswer your question. It's public information so whoever works that area can answer it. You don't have to give your name because it is a general question. Although you should contact the court and/or your bondsman and explain your story to them. Most times, judges see this as a reflection of the person's integrity and can influence their decision for the positive.

Hard question to answer, you don't even know if there is a bench warrant out.

If you have legal representation then ask your lawyer what happened in court.

If its a criminal case most likely they will look for you.

If you jumped bail, Bail bondsmen may come looking for you.

If its a civil case, depends on the case. If its about money owed most likely judgment will be against you then whatever relief the other party wanted may be executed.

Depends on the original charge, misdemeanor or felony, and since you were out on the scheduled court date you either made bail or were not arraigned (?) yet. For misdemeanor charges they won't come looking for you unless its like your 2nd or 3rd same offense. They will probably wait till you have another misdemeanor charge and then hit you with the Failure To Appear which is now another charge against you in addition to what ever the first charge was. If its your first offense, a misdemeanor, don't worry but stay low and out of trouble.

No set time. They will try to find you at your home, work, or known "haunts". I would suggest contacting a bail bondsman and an attorney right away, the sooner the better. Don't wait for them to catch you as if you turn yourself in and have your bond lined up before you are arrested on the warrant.

Depends on the county's budget. They will send out a letter sometimes to remind you that you missed your court date, but sometimes a 200 pound deputy is attached to the letter. Call them first or at least call a lawyer and have them call the cops for you. It's not worth the extra fines or jail time to miss a hearing.

Instead of waiting for them to come. Call the police dept, or look in the computer to see if you have a warrant. If you do, you can call them and advise that you will turn yourself in, because you forgot. They will give you a time to turn yourself in. It is better than for them to come get you at school, work or home, and put you in handcuffs. Don't you think??????????????.
