If it effects my bottom end, somebody is going out the door. I will still make what I made before the minimum wage increase period. Did you know that 90% of min wage workers are high school students. Smart move dems. You have just increased the cost of goods sold and cut jobs so you can support high school students being able to afford more pot and booze. Where were you when I was in high school? Big picture libs big picture! Keep your eye on the ball.

When the minimum wage was enacted in 1938 Republicans and the businessmen they shill for said it would destroy the economy, and blah, blah, blah.

The minimum wage has been increased 26 times since 1938, and every time we hear the same story. Just like we're hearing from a Fox news follower now.

It would seem that since the USA has grown in leaps and bounds since 1938, the minimum wage hasn't hurt anyone at all, but helped millions lead a life with some dignity.

And to the fool like the one above, 70% of people working at minimum wage are 20 or older, and work a 40 hour week.

First of all, it hasn't taken effect yet. But my guess would be, not as many as everyone thinks. I feel that it should have been done a long time ago. Small companies/businesses, along with everyone else, has known that one day it would go up. Do you think they spent the time preparing? If they didn't, they should have. The Democrats don't have to prove anything to the American public, and I would disagree that they would want Americans to be out of work. My guess is you're a disgruntled Republican small business owner, because surely if you were an employee getting the raise....you wouldn't be complaining.

hmmm....I think minimum wage laws been around since the 1930s and have been increased over the years. If your logic holds true then everyone should be unemployed by now.

How bout opening a link and opening your mind? Why not force yourself to ignore rhetoric and corporate media dribble?

Working a job for eight hours a day should at least enable you to receive poverty wages---which the proposed icrease still fails to do.
