I have light brown eyes. Sometimes they'll ask me kind of unsurely if I wear contact lenses. I think it's because they can't tell whether or not I am. I've never even tried wearing them. So why do people ask if I'm wearing contact lenses?

Is your eye color unique or unique for your skin color? Maybe they look enhanced to some people.

The color of brown that your eyes are must be more unusual than what people are used to seeing. Pretty eyes is a great asset!

Probably one of two reasons: A-you might have an interesting eye color that looks almost unnatural and is rarely see or B-you might have large pupils, contacts are known to dilate pupils, my pupils are HUGE thanks to my contacts, once this guy I liked leaned in and said "Oh my god, Jenny your eyes" and I was like "Yes?" and he said "Are you high??????" It's good they think you're wearing contacts lol. Also in darker rooms your pupils will naturally expand

u have unusually pretty eyes then, contact are what ppl r using alot now and ur eyes prob looks so nice(like some contacts do) that they mistake them 4 contacts

cos your eyes have a distinctive colour.
I have really bright green eyes and everyone thinks i wear contacts too. i hate it!
just think to yourself you have gorgeous eyes hunny.

this shouldn't bother you, but.
you may have an outer dis-coloring around the iris, causing the illusion of a contact.
