Yes, go to a doctor, he can give you an injection that will postpone your period for several days. They do it with brides all the time. If I were you I would call the doctor first and see how many days it will take for the shot to kick in or if it starts working immediately. He'll have all the answers you'll need. Good luck and congratulations on your husband coming home. Oh happy days!!!

The most surefire way to do it is to take some progesterone for a week (like Depo Provera) and then stop taking it completely. This is what doctors commonly do to induce periods in women who complain of being without a period for more than a couple months. This is more effective than using pills. However, this method isn't cheap.
I've heard of women essentially doing the same thing with increased dosage of birth control pills they were already taking and then stopping them when they wanted a period, but this will most likely result in breakthrough bleeding and not a real period. It's also stupid since it might cause you to ovulate. If you do take birth control pills already, just keep taking them while your husband is visiting. This should keep your period away for the time being. Continuous pill taking without consulting your GYN is frowned upon, but if it's only for 4 extra days, it shouldn't be harmful.
If you aren't on birth control pills, you can start them if you want, but your GYN will want you to start them after your next period, which doesn't do you any good. And even if you start them right away, you'll probably still have a period (I'm assuming you're talking about your upcoming period. If it's the following one, there maybe enough time for your body to adjust to the pill's hormone increase to work in your favor.)

Not enough details. If you're on the pill, just keep taking them into the next set and skip this period. If you're not on the pill, there is a progesterone pill you can take before your period to delay it. However, it has some unpleasant side effects that might make you feel unwell and not enjoy your husband's visit. Your gyn might have other ideas.

I would call your GYNO, she could probably help. I know there is that pill where you only have 4 periods a month. also i know that if you are on birth control right now and you dont take your placebo pills and just go straight into a new pack, you will skip your period.

If you are on the pill, you can start a new pack during the time that you are supposed to have your period and you won't have your period at all. If you aren't on the pill you're out of luck I believe. Talk to your doctor anyway. Good luck.

I agree with the others that you should just be able to take your pills a couple of extra days to delay things. I've never heard of a shot given to brides to delay things, but by all means call your dr to find out! A few days shouldn't mess you up.

nope, no possible way. and you don't want to fool around with your body like that. it's on its own schedule. screwing around with that will yield very bad things.
if you're both not too picky about such things, you can have sex during your period, it just gets kinda icky & be sure to lay a towel down under you, else it'll get everywhere.
depending when he comes home, birth control pills can delay it. talk to your doctor.

That would be my luck. Only thing I know to try would be talk to either county health dept. or a doctor and ask what to do.
