I would and I did. I worked for the same company for nearly 8 years making $15 an hour. I started entry level with no experience and worked my way up as far as I could go without a degree. I had paid vacations, frequent bonuses and decent insurance but after I had my baby I gave it all up to stay home and raise her. I work part time at a daycare now for $8 an hour but my little girl is in my class (so I don't have to pay for her to attend and socialize!) and it's just enough money to make ends meet in our family budget. We can no longer afford to go out to eat every week but it's worth it to know my daughter is safe, secure and happy. I love teaching daycare too !!!!!

You bet. Happiness is everything. I've had a lot of jobs that caused much stress and was like a sweat shop. If you are that unhappy, do what I did. Just look around for a new job!

yes, I would. The other way around is... if you're happy at your job, would you take a 2x salary knowing you'll be miserable? in that case my answer would be no... I think that the salary is a condition the job has to have for you to accept it, shouldn't be the driver for choosing where to work.
