Yup. The very first day I learned to drive I'd made it about a mile from home and was driving a whopping 20 miles per hour when I saw a turtle ahead in the road. My dad said, "watch out for the turtle now. Be sure to go around it......you need to go AROUND.....Monica..... AROUND! AWWW!!!! How do you run over a turtle?! It's not even moving!" ROFLMAO! I felt so bad for the turtle!
My husband has one'upped me on this one though. One evening he was driving home and saw a possum laying injured in the road. He said it was hurt pretty bad and he wanted to have compassion on it and put the poor creature out of it's misery so with a heavy heart he drove his truck over the top of it. He stopped and turned to look back and low and behold, the possum was still alive and VERY ticked off! My husband felt just terrible and backed his truck over the top of it again. He faced forward and darned if the thing wasn't still alive! At this point he's still feeling pretty bad about it, but also aggravated that the darned thing won't die so he can get on with his trip home so he drove over it again and again until it finally died. When he told me the story he looked as if he were about to start crying. I maintained my composure for the majority of the story before I began turning purple and then screaming in hysterical laughter. Poor possum!

One morning on the way to work(I was a Senior In High School),I was running late, as usual, speeding down the back road. Out of no where a white rabbit appeared and I drove right over the top of him. I could hear it up underneath my car. I got to work, completely useless, I cried all day.
That afternoon, I drove home on the same road.
The rabbit was not there, anywhere. I've always told myself...that I must have just bumped him and he ran away.......I hope. I've hoped for 40 years....

I accidentally ran over a rabbit. Then another time a deer came out of nowhere and I hit it...I was so freaked out..and also feeling so sad for the animal. I think I was in shock for several days.

I've hit alot of the small creatures; too many to count. I've also hit a dog or two, and the occasional squirel. There was also a deer on the list. I guess there are too many damn animals where I live, lol.

Not my car but I'm in it when my co-worker hit a cat on the way to the airport for business trip. I was so distracted during the meeting where I had to show presentation and that almost cost me my job.

I was heading out to the races one day and I was running late, because I was riding in the first and this camp dog came out from no where and I cleaned it up.I'm sorry I didn't stop because the dog was only a scamp and full of mange.I looked out of my mirror and it got up and bolted back into the bushland. So my guess it survived.

I hit a deer going 75 MPH on the interstate, a skunk (pee-u!), a turkey, and a few of those suicidal sparrows.......all with the same car. Needless to say I got rid of that wildlife magnet!

I've run over all sorts of animals (all on accident). Bunnies, possums, armidillas (sp?), squirrells, etc... and almost hit a coyote on my way to school one day. All of this was when I just turned 16. I thought I was cursed or something. lol.

One dog, a few cats, squirrels, racoons, possums, snakes, and a turtle with the car. I don't enjoy it, but I won't crash the car to miss a small animal.
I hit a skunk with a motorcycle once, but I don't want to remember that experience.
