i'm interested into getting a career in becoming a college professor teaching health and nutrition.

I teach at two colleges. I got into it by getting my graduate degree. I teach English. This is how it works: First you need your masters degree, minimum and a PhD is preferred. Most colleges prefer some real world experience (I taught high school) or scholarly research (which I did). You then apply to colleges. Many colleges are looking for people with some idea of how to teach, so just being an expert in your subject area is rarely good enough any longer. You will have to prove you can teach the subject at hand. Any accredited university is good for doctoral work. I enjoy teaching on the college level. I worked my way up from teaching middle school.
