Yes. There are plenty of guys who weren't born in the U.S. Almost all of them GREW UP in the U.S. though. The level of amateur football in the rest of the world is very low (or non-existent) when compared to that of the U.S. There is no way to become better by playing at a low level of competition.

I don't see why not! I mean the NHL takes Hockey players from other countries! of course the NHL is not the NFL! But I think if you can prove your talent you can play in the NFL no matter what country you are from!

Usually the non-American players, if they were position players, grew up in the US and learned football from an early age, or they were soccer players in Europe like John Smith, on the Patriots in the 70s or early 80s and Garo Ypremian, on the Dolphins in the 70s or early 80s, who were place kickers.
