No matter what channel I am on, through standard or digital cable, My tivo always has a blue banner across the bottom that says "searching for signal source" although the cable is obviously hooked up? Any ideas or thoughts?

Hey ematal2000
It sounds to me that you have purchased a TiVo unit and installed it yourself. Is this the case?

If so you need to address Yahoo Answers with a new question, "How do I install a TiVo Unit"

If not the case, simply pick up the telephone and contact your cable company for assistance. Repair is part of the service you are paying for.

Something blocking the dish from the satellite. Maybe a tree. Contact your cable company and they'll fix the problem.

your dish may need to be realigned...if the problem is short term the weather could be an issue if its been ok then your dish needs to be reset...you could always reset it..i know i sometimes have to unplug mine and wait a minute and reconnect it and let it reset itself

the dish is not aiming at the satelite.. the wind can move the dish..or some thing moved it. if it does not find it you will have to realign it.
