we always play a fun one thats stealing the tiny little baby clothes pins you can buy in pink and blue at a party store
get thin stain ribons, cut long and tie the end in a bow to make a necklace like a long chain. attach 6 total baby cothes pins on each..
have everyone put them on at the beginning of the shower,, the rules are every time someone says baby, he, she, her, him, boy, girl during normal conversation will lose one of their clothes pins to the first person that catches them say a forebidden word.
at the end of the shower the two people with the most clothes pins on their satin necklace wins a present. it was fun, people get very competitive. they can do this in addition to the other games (=

A disgusting...but never boring game that the girls from work played at one of three baby showers thrown for staff last spring:
Set out six small disposable diapers and pour six different strained baby foods (one food per diaper) in the center of the diapers. Make sure you number the diapers 1 thru 6.
Then pass them around and have the girls write down their guesses as to each diapers' contents.
Another game: put 12-15 baby items on a tray (i.e., pacifier, rattle, bib) let everyone look at the tray for one full minute. Hide the tray. Everyone has 4-5 minutes to write down as many of the items as they can remember. The one with the most correct items on their list wins.
The girl(s) that get the most answers correct wins!

At my baby shower, it took a bit of work but we cut out ads from parenting magazines...like pampers , gerber, huggies, playtex, etc etc and made sure that the brand was covered or cut out and only the advertising pic was shown. We cut out about 12 advertisements and glued them on cardboard. Everyone wrote 1-12 on their papers and Each pic we held up was numbered and when you held up number 1 everyone would have to guess what brand that was and write it on their paper....and we kept going up until number 12 and whoever got the most brand names right won the prize. It's amazing to see who wins.....lol a guy won this part at my baby shower.
WE also of course filled a baby bottle with little reeses pieces candies and the guests had to guess how many were in there.
I also like the game where you are blind folded and have to find the little safety pins in a big bowl of rice and whoever finds the most pins wins.

Sock matching game-buy different baby socks with different patterns and see who can match the most socks the fastest-have a timer.
You can play baby bingo.
Diaper bag memory-put alot of baby items in a diaper bag and see who remembers the most and writes them down in a certain time period.
Ice cube game-put little babies inside ice cubes and freeze them-whoevers ice cube melts the fastest must say "My water broke"and wins.
Nursery rhyme game-do parts of a nursery rhyme and the guest must tell what rhyme it is.
Baby scramble-think of odd baby items, common ones and scramble them
Purse game-who have what items in their purse-picture of a family or baby, pink or blue item, invitation, safety pin and then other items that are usually in purses-wallet,credit card, etc.
Pin game-put safety pins inside of rice and see who gets the most pins out while blindfolded and timed.
Cotton ball game-put alot of cotton balls in a bowl and see who can scoop the most out with a large spoon(like the soup spoons) while blindfolded and timed.
You can buy a baby gift set from Rainbow's or Burlington shaped like a bottle and take the baby items out. Fill the bottle with candy-see who guess the closest to the right amount of pieces in the container and that is the gift they win-a bottle full of candy.
Tissue waist game- let the guest look at the mom as they roll out how many tissues it will take to go around the middle part of her stomach and waist. You should already have how many it takes beforehand.
You can also do who knows the most about the parents.Names, birthdates, favorites, baby expected date, girl or boy, possible baby name, etc.
There is also the candy game-where you relate candy bars to the baby and pregnancy:example:The amount you will spend on your child's college education?100 Grand, You hope the doctor doesn't have? Butterfinger , The mother's breast after birth? Milk duds etc.
Sorry that there is so many but I coordinate babyshowers and this is only some of the ones I have played.

I JUST added a page to my website that has ideas for SENTIMENTAL and SWEET (aka: no eating chocolate out of diapers or sniffing bland baby food!!) activities at the baby shower. Unique.....check it out, if you like!
Seems to me baby showers are becoming more and more like fraternity hazing rituals....I say be different and make it a memorable and special occasion where everyone invited can really get in the spirit of this wonderful littler person about to enter the world. But that's just my opinion!!

I went to a great baby shower where we had a contest where all of the men had a contest to see who could finish a baby bottle filled with apple juice the fastest. It was hillarious to see grown men sucking down baby bottles. One that was pretty disgusting but funny was a race to see who could eat a candy bar the fastest. The catch was that each candy bar was melted in a disposable baby diaper and contestants had to eat it with no hands! Like I said disgusting, but funny. And we also played a version of the Price is Right with all kinds of baby items which the mom got to keep at the end.

Win lose or draw, all related to baby items; the m&m game where the guest pick m&m's (they think they will eat them but they don't). They have to tell that many facts about the pregnant woman. Depending on the size of the place, a scavenger hunt for baby items and build a "cake" with it.
