ok, so this is the most i've ever poured my heart out on yahoo answers.

my mom today told me the most deep, most incredibly hurtful things you could possibly tell me - and this isnt irregular either - but then for the first time in a while apologized & told me she's been doing this for some reason for my entire life.

then when i brought it up tonite infront of my dad, she denied all of it and then even sweared on the bible to say that she never said it.

this is my mom! people, you dont even know what its like to have the person that is supposed to love you the most tell you something she wouldn't even tell her worst enemy.

i'm so sorry that we all don't get blessed with great mothers (two of my bestfriends were abused) you just need to do your best not to think about it surround yourself with postive people like your friends and spend less time at home, don't even try to rat out your mom because most parents trust their spouces more than their children. i would help more if i knew what she had said.

Something very similar happened to me...Get a mini pocket sized recorder, and record her.. Don't change your mind about it..You will be gratefull to yourself in the end..then when you have plenty of information to prove you were telling the truth. Play it for everyone who she made you look very bad to.. Tell her payback's a *****!!!!

my father does this too.
my mom knows how he is tho so she listens and doesnt make me go around him.
try to explain to your dad that youre serious and not lying about your mom.
maybe u could record her saying these things??
if it is VERY bad and u cant deal anymore u need to someone who will listen such as a teacher or friends parent...
that is emotional ABUSE sweetie.
please talk to someone who will help u.

It is certainly a breech of trust. Maybe she has a mental health issue...Learn to develop strong self esteem and your own identity. Good luck!
