They might take some time to settle down, but are very well placed to be successful. This is because :
1. Wal Mart have expert know how of operations for retail business.
2. Bharati group have acess and reach to millions of people in India through existing telecom network.
3. Enough finances have been tied up.
4. Market conditions and economy in India is conducive to this concept.
5. Wal Mart and Bharati - both have a good brand name.

However this dream sucess can become a sustained only if they are able to deliver good quality, wide variety at rates that are cheaper than present retail stores.

I hope not.

Globalization = Bad

Wal-mart besides the way it treats it employees is ruining alot of small mom and pop family owned business that have been up for generations.

Then again if it makes it will just join along with all the other businesses that have..mostly fast food places..ie McDonalds...KFC...Burger King...etc
