My cat likes to chase my cursor, and I just got one of the flat screen LCD monitors instead of the glass panel monitor. Sadly I think one of his claws put a little tear in it. Its very small, hardly noticeable, but I was wondering what will happen to it if anything, and if it can be repaired? Thanks.

It may get worse as the plastic protective membrane has been torn, allowing air, cleaning agents etc into the screen.

Sorry to say you will have to replace the screen part of the monitor.

This may not be economic to do.

Either live with it, get it repaired or - Sob - Purchase a new Monitor.

The service agent will not treat this as a warranty issue.

Also consider replacing the cat, or use a "bad dog" background for your Windows display in future. Just joking.

You can try to buff it out using a glass buffing kit. Unless you are noticing an actual change in the pixels themselves, however, I wouldn't worry about it. If the scratch actually affects the pixels, the screen is ruined.

You pretty much just cut the life of that screen in half.
