OMG some of you people are too funny... airbrushing is NOT a way to apply makeup lol it is a way to retouch photographs that is used to hide the doctoring of the photographs... it can make your skin tone appear more even and has even been used to remove entire people from photographs...
Foundation is professionally applied with makeup sponges, usually damp makeup sponges so that the makeup blends more easily on your face.
Giving you application tips is kind of pointless though because it takes practice to get these things right...

They use an airbrush technique for their foundation. I think Sally Hansen carries a brand that is carried at drugstores. The airbrush gives an even, flawless look.

When they shoot models they spend hours on hair and makeup. They also use airbrushing and lighting techiniques to give the models their flawless look, even those models don't look like that outside of the magazine.

It's called "Airbrushing". It's done by artists after the photo is taken. You can't achieve that look in normal life. In fact, they don't even look that good in real life. It's a fantasy.

well they kinda have 2-3 hours of professionals working on them, so obviously they look good. we prolly wud too after all that work done. But i guess basic general stufff. foundation to make ur face seem flawless. blush to add color. then eyeliner(blk is perfect for the dramatic look...i liek that) and mascara. and eyeshadow to either match ur shirt, or some color that looks great on u.

For photo shoots, a lot of them get their photos touched-up. Most of them get this makeup on...It's like airbrushing foundation. It is really light and is actually sprayed on.

It's called airbrushing and it isn't done to the models it's done to the photographs. Nobody actually looks that good in real life. Be who you are.

so that your make up doesn't smear, run, etc. you need a really good base, this also helps even out your skin tone even before you put your foundation on. next of course is blending and evening out the colors.
p.s. there's make up out there now that will help "sculpt" your face. like if you want your nose to look thinner and your cheekbones to stand out, there are hi-lighters out that'll do just that.
i hope this helps a little. go to sephora and they'll totally help you out on how to apply make up

Airbrushing! Don't try to look unnatural...use makeup that enhances and flaunts the natural beauty you already have.
