Go ahead and reboot with a disk, and get into administrator and safe mode. Once you're in safe mode you can reset your password.
To get into safe mode, press the F8 key repeatedly during startup. Pressing it just once won't always work, neither will holding it down. Once there, you'll need to use your arrow keys to get thru the menu. Make sure your num lock is off if you use the arrow keys on the numeric keypad.
As a last resort you can bring it into a computer shop and they can get into it with file restoration software, to get your pictures and files onto a zip drive or other backup media. Then reformat your drive and reinstall your files and programs. But this only as a last resort, as it will probalby cost you some files and some $$$. Hopefully it won't come to that.
PS -- don't let anyone tell you that your computer is a goner! All your info is still there and your computer still works. It's just a matter of getting to it. It's like if you lose your housekey, you still have a house, you just need to be creative about getting in.

start it up in safe mode, then restart into MS-DOS mode, and then in the command prompt area type

C:>net user (put your username here) *

it should then prompt you to enter in a new password and then confirm it
Once your password is changed, I believe you can just type in
